The random thoughts and reflections of a public librarian in a small coastal community in Australia
Manager of a small group of public libraries in coastal Queensland, Australia. Married with two kids. Currently occupying "dream job" in "paradise". Pastimes include* Sculpture and art * Reading and recreation. Ambitions include * Successfully oversee construction of new main library (3-5 year time frame) * Invent new paradigm for public libraries which will make me famous; failing that, recognizing and incorporating excellent ideas when I come across them * Master the French language (have been learning for last 30 years!) * Live and work overseas for 6 mths - year (3-10 year time frame)and job swap somewhere in Australia for a shorter period (anyone interested?) * Ensure kids eat at least one fruit or vegetable per day and do their homework * Maintain reasonable level of health and fitness and keep working well into my 70s and live til I'm 90+ * Take up the piano and violin (OK I admit I haven't actually got time for that at the moment thus the need for longevity)
